Joint Council of Extension Professionals (JCEP)
Is a partnership of professional Extension organizations that focuses on strengthening the efforts of the member organizations and does what each cannot do individually. JCEP was organized in December 1989.JCEP
Is composed of the president, past-president and president-elect of the member organizations, a representative of the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy (ECOP) and a representative of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)-- U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).JCEP Mission
JCEP is the center of the Extension profession and a partnership of Extension
professional associations:
* doing what each cannot do effectively alone,
* building leadership and collaboration,
* providing professional development and scholarship
opportunities,
and
* advocating for excellence in the Extension profession.
